End of the Year Musings
published on 12/30/2022

I participated in four small writer retreats. When I say small, none were over four writers. They were all structured differently but I came away from each one feeling invigorated. I would describe myself as an extrovert with introverted tendencies. I am okay spending hours by myself writing, or days seeing only my husband and dog, but there inevitably comes a time when I miss talking to friends and other writers in person.

Even with self-isolating during the pandemic, I still kept in contact with others through Skype, Zoom, text, and telephone. But I like people. I like talking with friends in person, laughing with them, and enjoying a meal with them. I love hugging. (Yes, I admit it, I'm a hugger)

2022 was also the year I published a book that had been in the back of my mind for a long time. THE PINK HOUSE is in many ways a tribute to my mother who passed away years ago. I'm so proud of that story as well as all the others I published last year and the ones I am set to release in 2023.

I look ahead to 2023, to writing and releasing more stories that are uplifting and heartwarming.
