No One Like Her

Book Four from the Hazel Green Series

What happens in Chicago…doesn't end up staying there.

Architect Erika Eads and Wells Pomeroy have a complicated past. Eight years have passed since they last saw one another. Yet, after running into Wells on one of the worst days of her life, Erika finds herself sleeping with him! Wells Pomeroy is many things; respected business owner, devoted single father, responsible eldest son of the politically prominent Pomeroy family. What he is not is impulsive. With Erika now back in Hazel Green working on a project, they agree that friendship is best. Still, it’s not long before people notice the spark between them. Wells hasn’t dated since his wife died and Erika struggles with living in the shadow of Wells’ late wife. As they try to navigate their feelings and build a relationship, rumors and gossip in their close-knit community cause Wells and Erica to questions their feelings and whether they can offer each other what they need. A heart-wrenching story of love, loss and the power of forgiveness.

“I loved this series. It can't be over!!! What about Matt and Matilda and Liz? Cindy Kirk, we need to know!”

“WOW – I love this book – my favorite of all! This is about Wells and Erika. The grief these two shared due to Dani, Well’s deceased wife, and Erika’s best friend brought them together but not in the way it should have from the start. There was resentment on both parts and forgiveness is something neither was willing to give or accept. The blame for one’s death hung for many years until that faithful night that Dani’s memory echoed in each of their ears/souls. WOW – I was so touched by the outcome, especially with Sophie – Well’s daughter and Erika’s goddaughter. Of course, Erika’s bad news at the start had a great turn of events throughout the book that I personally feel a connection to even if my own story doesn’t end the same…”

“Cindy – you did an awesome job with this book – THANK YOU! This book was so awesome and endearing. It is always hard to get past the death of a spouse especially when there are kids. This book shared the love of family, friends, and community. The romance was pure love shared throughout the book. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.A wonderful journey with familiar characters. Perfection my Ms. Kirk once again. Sometimes we all need a tug outside our comfort zone to find happiness.”
