But when she meets Clay McCashlin any romantic plans that she had gets waylaid. Kaitlyn helps Clay discover who has been stealing chips from the plant that she works for and is owned by Clay's father. However, Kaitlyn does not know that Clay's father is the owner of the factory. After discovering that Clay is not who he says he is, Kaitlyn leaves for Chicago. Clay actually gets transferred there at one of McCashlin's other business entities. When they meet again, they realize that they are in love and have a happily ever after.
Even though this is part of the Seriously Sweet St. Louis series, the only mention of St. Louis is the location of the home office of McCashlin enterprises. Characters are relatable and you feel that you have a rooting interest in Kaitlyn and Clay”
